🍻 Seattle Sips & Bavarian Trips: Our 3-Day Adventure ✨

We just got back from a quick but unforgettable 3-day trip to Seattle, and I couldn’t wait to share the highlights! From sipping ginger beer at Pike Place to exploring a Bavarian village in the mountains, this trip was packed with flavor, views, and plenty of local brews.

Day 1: Pike Place Market & City Vibes

We kicked things off at the iconic Pike Place Market. The energy, the colors, the fresh seafood—there’s nothing like it. We grabbed lunch at Emmett Watson’s Oyster Bar, a cozy, no-frills spot tucked into the market. The oysters were fresh, the chowder was rich, and the atmosphere was classic Seattle.

We stopped for coffee at the Original Starbucks, which was surreal and surprisingly worth the wait. Later that evening, we headed to Just the Tap for pizza and an epic beer tasting—16 beers sampled in total! It was one of the best beer flights we’ve had in a long time.

Day 2: A Bavarian Escape to Leavenworth

We took a scenic drive to Leavenworth, Washington’s very own German-themed town nestled in the mountains. Parking was a breeze (and super cheap), which made exploring that much more enjoyable.

We stopped at Icicle Ridge Winery and enjoyed a tasting in their atmospheric cellar—a truly magical setting. Then we hit Icicle Brewing Company and Hard Row to Hoe Vineyards. Both had fantastic beer and wine options, and the views were absolutely breathtaking.

Lunch? We couldn’t resist Munchen Haus for pretzels and sausages, served with their signature mustard bar. It felt like Oktoberfest in the middle of June.

Day 3: Dumplings & Real Talk

Back in the city, we grabbed a bite at Seattle Dumpling House, and it was delicious. Juicy, flavorful dumplings that hit the spot before our trip ended.

We stayed at the Marriott on 6th Street, which was great in terms of location and comfort. But one tip—be aware of the parking situation. Despite what the website says, parking isn’t included and is very expensive. We ended up spending close to $200 on parking alone for three days. Unless you're planning day trips out of the city like we did, I’d recommend sticking to public transportation or Uber to avoid the extra cost.

📝 Final Tips:

  • Don’t miss Rachel’s Ginger Beer near Pike Place for a refreshing afternoon treat.

  • Day trips to Leavenworth are totally worth the drive.

  • Sample local beers—you’ll find a favorite at every stop.

  • Budget for hidden costs like parking.

Seattle was full of charm, good food, and unforgettable views. I can’t wait to go back!
