✈️ London: A 4-Day Festive Stopover with Food, Markets & Cozy Chaos

✈️ London on Miles: A 4-Day Holiday Adventure You’ll Want to Copy

There’s something magical about London in December — twinkling lights, Christmas markets, chilly hands wrapped around overpriced cocoa, and history on every corner.

I spent 4 unforgettable days exploring the city with my camera, my curiosity, and a suitcase full of sweaters — and guess what? I only used 48,000 Marriott points for the hotel.

If you're dreaming of a holiday escape without the luxury price tag, buckle up. This one's for you.

🛬 Day 1: Arrival, Jet Lag & Local Pints

After a long overnight flight (with a Lisbon layover!), we arrived in London and headed to Moxy Hotel LHR via Uber (€44.38).
Thanks to early check-in, we got a few glorious hours of rest.

Later, we wandered out, grabbed dinner, and found ourselves in a charming nearby pub where 4 beers cost us €42.17 — and were worth every drop.

🌉 Day 2: Glass Floors & Holiday Feels

After a delicious free hotel breakfast, we hopped on the tube (with a £15.30 day pass) and headed straight to London Bridge.

We took the London Bridge tour (€16 per adult), wandered across the glass floor with sweeping views of the city, and then chased the chill with…

  • €15 hot chocolate spiked with Irish cream

  • 🌭 €12 German sausage from Tower Bridge Market

🥘 Day 3: Borough Market Bites

This was a full-on foodie day. We headed to Borough Market where the crowd was no joke, but the food was everything:

  • 🥘 €27 Paella (after a 30-min wait!)

  • 🦪 €38 Oysters (yes, we splurged)

  • 🍝 Dinner at a cozy, nameless café tucked just outside the market

Every corner smelled amazing. Every bite was a memory. Borough Market lives up to the hype.

🎄 Day 4: Christmas Magic in Trafalgar Square

On our final day, we headed to Trafalgar Square to see the iconic Christmas tree and soak up the holiday cheer.

From there, we dove into one more round of market food:

  • 🎂 £25 Traditional Christmas Cake

  • £24 total for two hot chocolates

  • 🌭 €17 German sausage (yes, again — no regrets)

  • 🍽️ Classic fish & chips at Stephen’s Tavern

And to top it off? Another round at The Queen’s Head — our unofficial London local.
